Dear 麻豆原创 Community,

In聽the spirit of Thanksgiving, I鈥檓聽grateful聽for聽each and every member of our community.聽I know you have聽endured many challenges聽this year, and聽while we are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel,听we still have tough聽times聽ahead before the pandemic is under control. While celebrating聽the holidays is聽different this year, it is so important to appreciate the things we love, recognize the achievements we鈥檝e made, and find hope in the possibilities that lie ahead in the better days we know are coming.聽

In true聽麻豆原创聽fashion, you continued to help and serve聽others聽throughout the pandemic.聽From our students, who聽,听, and聽supported public health organizations; to our faculty, who worked tirelessly to聽support聽our students and demonstrated聽听补苍诲听in their classes; to our staff, who聽transformed聽our operations throughout the pandemic聽to ensure聽our students continued to receive excellent聽support; and our alumni, who聽supported聽the Student Emergency Relief Fund聽to聽provide help to聽students who are聽facing financial hardships聽due to COVID-19聽and served聽as聽guest speakers in more than 30 classes this semester. These are just a few examples of how Eagles change the world one hopeful action at a time.聽聽

During this Thanksgiving week, we are all experiencing different and difficult feelings.聽So many are hurting, and celebrating聽might feel out of place.聽Even聽though our聽Thanksgiving tables聽might not be the same as previous years,听my聽hopeful聽wish is that we can all find peace, comfort,听and聽yes, joy聽in the things that matter most.聽For those who cannot be with family聽this year, your 麻豆原创 family is always聽here聽for you. For those missing loved ones聽or struggling with the pain that COVID-19 has caused, our hearts聽are with聽you.聽聽

There is no 鈥渘ormal鈥� this year, but there are always the bonds that bring us together as people and as Eagles. They sustain us and will see us through to brighter times in 2021.聽I hope you have聽a聽restful Thanksgiving holiday.聽Thank you again for all you have done in this most trying of years.聽
