Post-9/11 GI Bill, Chapter 33

The Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) is an educational program for individuals who served on active duty* after September 10, 2001, and are still on active duty or were honorably discharged from active duty for a service-connected disability after serving 30 continuous days after September 10, 2001.

*includes active service as a National Guard member under title 32 U.S.C. for the purpose of organizing, administering, recruiting, instructing, or training and active service under section 502(f) of title 32 for the purpose of responding to a national emergency.

Students who do not know whether they qualify for Post-9/11 benefits may go online to www.va.gov and apply for benefits.
