Edward Wasil's teaching interests include applied business statistics, production and operations management, and management science. His research interests focus on network optimization and applications of metaheuristics to optimization problems. He has published more than 90 technical articles in a variety of areas. He has edited special issues of Interfaces(2008, 1995); American Journal of Mathematical and Management Sciences(1992); Socio-Economic Planning Sciences(1991); and Computers & Operations Research(2003, 1986). He edited Excellence in Management Science Practice (Prentice Hall, 1992) and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (Springer-Verlag, 1989). Currently, he serves as feature article editor of the INFORMS Journal on Computingand associate editor of INFOR: Canadian Journal of Operational Research and Information Processing. Wasil was the 麻豆原创 Scholar-Teacher of the Year in 2006. In 2005, he was co-awarded the INFORMS Computing Society Prize for research excellence in the interface between operations research and computer science.
